The Royal Over-Seas League hosts a diverse range of cultural and social events, concerts and exhibitions throughout the year at its central London home, Over-Seas House. From the thought-provoking Public Affairs series and literary events to culinary events, wine tastings, walks and excursions, members are spoilt for choice.
ROSL’s annual events programme combines a blend of music, art, culture and conversation with a host of guest chefs and culinary collaborations.
Stay up to date with all our events here, via Overseas Journal, or via our Club e-newsletter.
The most recent addition to the programme, our Public Affairs series of talks, lectures and debate, launched in 2021.
Recent speakers include the former president of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso, with the Rt Hon Lord William Hague addressing ROSL’s Annual Lecture 2023. The Club also regularly hosts book talks on a diverse range of topics.
ROSL offers a mouth-watering array of culinary events, with seasonal dining collaborations and special menus all year round.
Wine Dinners are led by our Director of Food & Beverage, Serge Pradier, and are an opportunity to enjoy handpicked vintages from across the world served with perfectly paired menus, courtesy of Executive Chef, Elliot Plimmer.
ROSL has been home to a prestigious annual programme of competitions, concerts and exhibitions for over 70 years.
Highlights include the Club’s Annual Music Competition and the bi-annual Photographic Competition. Now in its 72nd year, the AMC has historically proved a springboard for luminaries such as Jacqueline du Pre and Melvyn Tan and is an exciting opportunity to discover the best new musical talent.
