Our high-profile Public Affairs programme of talks, lectures and debate launched in 2021. This popular series of events and debates sees journalists and broadcasters, ambassadors, politicians and thought leaders, all experts in their field, engage with topics of international importance across geo-politics, conflict, foreign affairs and domestic policy.
Tackling these pressing issues from an insider perspective, often from the heart of Government, the Opposition benches, or from a national security standpoint, ROSL’s Public Affairs series is a unique opportunity for members and invited guests to convene to hear the latest thinking, insights and intelligence from leading individuals and institutions at home and abroad.
One of the highlights of the calendar is the ROSL Annual Lecture held in December each year.
Previous speakers have included: Historian Lord Roberts of Belgravia, Lord Chris Patten, Chancellor, University of Oxford, formerly the last Governor of Hong Kong (1992-1997) and Rt Hon Lord William Hague, Former Leader of the House of Commons
